Buba Galadima is a Nigerian politician and a prominent figure in Nigerian politics. He has been actively involved in Nigerian politics for several decades- since 1978. In his earlier years Galadima trained as an engineer and had close relationships with Former President Shehu Shagari and Military Head of State Sani Abacha - the latter appointed him Director General of Nigerian Maritime Authority (now NIMASA). He has been detained numerous times by the State Security apparatus- including for charges of treason/coup plotting- and is widely known to be leading the charge in political dissent in the country - particularly in Northern Nigeria.

Galadima was a close associate of President Muhammadu Buhari, particularly during Buhari's earlier bids for the presidency. He was a founding member of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), one of the legacy parties that merged to form the All Progressives Congress (APC), which brought Buhari to power in the 2015 presidential election. Galadima is a signatory to the APC Constitution, his signature is #4 of 9 at the creation of the APC.

However, Galadima later became a vocal critic of the Buhari administration, accusing Buhari of various shortcomings and failing to deliver on its promises. He was one of the key figures who formed the Reformed All Progressives Congress (R-APC) in 2018, a faction that broke away from the APC, citing grievances with the party leadership. He served as the spokesman for the R-APC which included figures such as the former senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki. As a spokesman he was a vocal supporter of former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakkar’s presidential campaign in 2019. He subsequently became a chieftain under the NNPP. Galadima's political journey has been marked by shifts in alliances and criticisms of successive governments in Nigeria. He is known for his outspokenness and has often been at the forefront of political dissent in the country.
